Groundskeeper, The Riverwalk

We are in search of a qualified Groundskeeper who will work under the direction of the Director of Operations. The position will maintain the appearance of the Riverwalk campus to include but not limited to all - access driveways, walkways, parking lots and adjacent areas - picking up all trash and debris as well as assist with snow removal when necessary. Candidate must have a pleasant demeanor, ability to engage effectively with our tenants (our clients), co-workers and vendors and be committed to ensuring that the property always “shines” and represents who we are as a one of the largest real estate development organizations in Massachusetts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Pick up trash, debris and empty exterior trash cans throughout campus. Maintain clean appearance of all properties. Empty cigarette receptacles daily, report damage, replace as needed.
Rake leaves per established standards. Identify and report any planted areas requiring replacement.
Remove weeds to establish neat, manicured appearance.
Remove snow from all sidewalks, building exits, parking lots, etc. Preventively spread ice melt when/where as needed.
Adjust, repair and perform preventive maintenance on all grounds equipment.
Identify areas of snow/ice for resolution during snow/ice events. Check garage for same. Maintain log of snow events including conditions, accumulation totals.
Maintain grounds equipment storage area in a neat, orderly manner per established standards.
Grounds vehicle shall be kept clean, both exterior and interior.
Plow areas requiring additional snow removal as needed.
Report to Director of Facilities at completion of daily duties for further direction.
Maintain exterior trench drains to ensure they are free of debris.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in a grounds maintenance.
Maintain courteous and effective interactions with clients and co-workers.
Demonstrate an understanding of the job scope and performance expectations.
Demonstrate a commitment to meeting and exceeding the needs of our clients and consistently adhere to our customer service standards.
Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Good communication skills (written and spoken).
Valid driver’s license.
Part-Time Position (25 hours/week). Competitive hourly rate.
