Residential Facilities Maintenance Technician

Summary: We are in search of a stellar Facilities & Maintenance professional. The ideal candidate must possess an exceptional customer service, a can-do attitude with the ability to perform in multiple areas of maintenance. Individual must have a keen aptitude for attention to detail, organizing, prioritizing and understanding the importance of following through to completion of all work, tasks and assignments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete general maintenance duties (painting, minor repairs, general cleaning (inside/outside of properties), floors, unit turns (residential properties) as well as some preventative maintenance.
Respond to and complete work orders.
Respond to tenant calls/requests; other operational and/or administrative tasks.
Perform preventative maintenance duties in adherence with established guidelines, programs and procedures; make necessary recommendations for improvements where required.
Inspections, site safety, participate in rotating emergency service call coverage.
Promote safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards, procedures and complying with legal regulations at all times.
Communicate in a professional manner with building tenants, property owner/management/vendors on a regular basis and at all times.
Move furniture and/or equipment when required.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in commercial building maintenance environment.
Technical, vocational or on the job training in HVAC, minor electrical (able to change a ballast) and light plumbing (clear drains, soap fixtures), light carpentry and routine preventative maintenance experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficient in English (written and oral).
Computer literate; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook, electronic work order and preventative maintenance systems.
Valid, reputable driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently; 100 pounds on occasion.
Demonstrated success in this capacity.
