Vice President of Hospitality

Job Summary: 

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the Hospitality Division, the Vice President of Hospitality (VPH) is responsible for developing and implementing strategy and leading the execution of exceptional business standards from every vantage point – operations, guest experience, talent development and financial performance. The VPH will establish a culture and philosophy that foster strong relationships with management, teams, vendors, partnerships and other stakeholders to ensure that targeted growth and profit margin objectives are met or exceeded. The VPH must be committed to leading by example and delivering unparalleled guest experience across all Lupoli Hospitality brands. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 Customer Focus 

  • Know the customers across all brands 

  • Identify strategic initiatives that will develop new business and increase existing business 

  • Develop and launch new concepts, services, products, etc. 

  • Continually monitor the marketplace AND the competition 

Vendor Focus 

  • Lead account management and retention strategy 

  • Source new partnerships 

  • Build strategic networks to add value to the businesses 

  • Manage contract negotiations to achieve win-win outcomes 

  • Look for synergies across the brands 

Employee Focus 

  • Evaluate existing team members 

  • Recruit top talent to support the growth objectives of the business 

  • Develop winning teams across the brands 

  • Empower and support managers to lead their teams 

  • Establish retention programs that will incentivize and reward 

  • Coach, mentor and develop managers and their teams 

  • Drive and support succession planning activities 

  • Maintain a positive, winning spirit that exudes confidence and resilience to challenges or obstacles 

  • Exemplify solid role model behavior – be honest, be fair, be respectful, communicate effectively 

  • Articulate the Company’s and the Division’s vision and “where we need to be” goals and objectives 

  • Continually monitor the evolution of the location proposition across the brands 

  • Be forever watchful of growth opportunities, making necessary cuts to activities/spends that aren’t profitable 

  • Develop performance metrics (Scoreboards, KPIs) and hold teams accountable 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years Food and Beverage experience functioning at the Director of Operations/General Manager level in the hospitality environment. 

• 2 years of experience preferred at the Vice President level 

• College degree preferred but not required 

• Success exceeding growth and revenue goals 

• Effective leadership and ability to develop people and teams 

• Solid business and financial acumen: Budgeting, forecasting, sales experience 

• Strong communication skills, written and oral 

• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities effectively 

• Skilled at motivating and driving top-performance and morale
