Donated to Lawrence youth sports programs

September 14-2022 — Pizza businessman and major real estate developer Sal Lupoli was joined by Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor of Lawrence Brian de Peña and other elected officials for the official opening of the rooftop Pavilion Field at Riverwalk in Lawrence. This is a beautiful rooftop turf field on top of a new 1,200-car parking garage overlooking the river and Lawrence’s historic clock tower.

This “Viva Lawrence” coverage is a partnership between El Mundo Boston and Chase, committed to highlighting the positive and inspiring stories from the Merrimack Valley.

This is an amazing VIVA LAWRENCE story considering that this was a mill that was closed in the 1950s and the site remained vacant and blighted for decades until Lupoli purchased the property.

Now, after a 20-year journey, the redeveloped lot includes 596 apartments, more than 1400 residents as well as dozens of small businesses. It’s also the home to satellite offices for Cambridge College, Northern Essex Community College and Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School.

Again, a great story about the Great City of Lawrence… ¡Viva Lawrence!
