SAL’S PIZZA CELEBRATES 35TH ANNIVERSARY WITH PIZZA EATING CONTEST APRIL 11TH
Sal’s Pizza, family owned and operated for 35 years, will celebrate their 35th anniversary this April with a Pizza Eating Contest at their Brookline Ave. location in Boston. The contest is sponsored by Pepsi and all proceeds will benefit the Light Foundation.
“We are so thankful to Sal’s Pizza for their support,” said Matt Light, former NFL Player and 3x Superbowl Champion who founded the Light Foundation with his wife Susie. “Our goal is to help and inspire young people, and the Sal’s Pizza team shares that same mindset. We have already worked with them on a few different initiatives and really admire their family values and commitment to giving back”.
On Friday, April 11th at 5:30pm, up to 35 participants will race to see who can eat a Sal’s three-pound, 19-inch pizza the fastest. One talented eater will take home $1,000 and free Sal’s Pizza for a year. One runner up will receive a $50 Sal’s Pizza gift card and one third place contestant will win a $25 Sal’s Pizza gift card. There is a $15 sign-up fee to participate as an eater and the event is free for all spectators. There will be an-on site raffle to give away three pair of premium seats to any regular season Boston Red Sox game. Pepsi will also be on hand sampling new products.
All proceeds will be donated to the Light Foundation. To sign up, learn more or view terms and conditions, visit www.sals.com
