Lupoli Companies Wins Economic Development Award
LAWRENCE -- Lupoli Companies, the parent firm of Sal's Pizza and other properties, was awarded the 2014 Business of the Year by the Northeastern Economic Developers Association.
The award was presented last week at NEDA's annual awards dinner in Worcester.
The award recognizes a company that demonstrates the highest degree of good corporate citizenship, invests in its own area economy and has set an example for others to emulate.
"We have had the privilege of building an organization from the ground up," said Salvatore Lupoli, CEO and founder of Lupoli Companies, said in a statement. "From two employees to more than 900 we have benefited from our organic growth."
Lupoli is a Chelmsford native. He is a graduate of Northeastern University and formed Sal's Pizza with his brother, Nick, in 1990.
Lupoli Companies is the parent company of Sal's Pizza Retail and Wholesale, Salvatore's Restaurants, Riverwalk Properties and JeNet Management.
